My Free Pattern: Unseen Foundation

Yay! I made a free cross-stitch pattern for everyone interested. It's about an abstract picture. A little bit inspired by Arts and Science Museum but with totally different concept. I love to do some experiments so please tell me what do you think about this design!

The pattern is made manually from my sketch, and here's the comparison between the sketch and the virtual construction of the stitching.

Well honestly I made a little revision at the right side. You could see that on the virtual stitching, the end of the main curve, is more narrow than the sketch version. Yes, I'm trying to make the main curve looks more deep therefore the two bars could interact better.

I made a PDF version of Unseen Foundation, and you could find both Black&White and Color charts inside. Complete with color keys and a little bit of instruction. Click the image below to take you to the 4shared site. I still have no better alternative than 4shared, but if you get a better one, please tell me.

So, what do you think? Please give me any feedback to help me do some progress! Thank you for reading.

Cross-Stitch Idea: Arts and Science Museum Singapore

Arts and Science Museum & Marina Bay Sands Hotel
Hi all! Today I would like to introduce a cross-stitch pattern idea which I'm going to design and make. It's the Arts and Science Museum Singapore. Even though I'm not someone from the Architectural field, but I really admire this building and I have drop a visit during my last holiday, so I know the exact feeling and excitement of admiring this building from the inside! And yes, it's so beautiful, both from outside or inside perspective! This grand design of Moshe Safdie is spaciously amazing! Having a pleasant stay at Marina Bay Sands Tower 1 Clubs and Suites, then enjoying such a perfect fusion between arts and science, is a very fun moment for me. So, enough for the story, here's come my idea.

Welcome to Engineering Cross Stitch!

As an engineer, I would like to fuse the art of engineering with the complexity of stitching experience.

Through this blog, I would like to present you my works and my designs!

However, in the stitching world, I'm not only talking about the engineering, so you might also find some personal touches of mine throughout this blog, including my own stitching progresses, updates on various current sales (I'm also a shopper, for sure), and of course cross stitch tips!

And hey! Feel free to speak whatever you think about my designs, all suggestions are welcome! And if you feel that you need to read more, or getting inspired with other stitchers, you should check the bottom of this page and see the Stitchers I Admire section!

Relax. Read. Stitch. And take some time for yourself.
